Financial Operations Manager Job Description

The core responsibility of this role is to oversee the financial functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

This position entails managing accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Accounting Principles, vendor management, and GST and TDS compliances.

Familiarity with MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and data analysis skills are essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recording Financial Transactions: Recording day-to-day financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and bank entries.
  • Vendor Management: Handling vendor payments, customer receipts, and petty cash accounting.
  • Invoice Matching: Performing 3-way invoice matching (PO, GRN, Invoice).
  • Vendor Payment and Master Details: Ensuring timely vendor payments and maintaining accurate vendor master details (GSTIN, bank, etc.).
  • Cash Flow Management: Preparing vendor ageing reports and assisting in monitoring cash flow.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Preparing bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliation, and assisting in month-end closing.
  • Tax Compliance: Independently preparing and filing GST and TDS returns; staying updated on changes in tax laws.
  • Data Reconciliation: Reconciling data for GST annual return and coordinating with departments for accurate inputs.
  • Audit Support: Participating in internal/statutory audits and generating MIS reports as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / ICWA(Inter)
  • 3-4 Years of experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with SAP and Ind AS is desirable.
