Senior Actuarial Leadership Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Group Manager to lead our Health Actuarial team. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise in actuarial analysis, project management, and people leadership.
Job Responsibilities:- Leadership and Team Management: Oversee the Reserving & Pricing teams and ensure they meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Develop and implement effective strategies to drive quality delivery and process efficiency.
- Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, focusing on timely completion, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and communication. Ensure seamless project execution and identify areas for improvement.
- Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of actuarial concepts and be able to interpret their application to various valuations. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Expertise and Specialization: Develop unique expertise in a specific area, such as complex valuations, and become a go-to person within the organization.
- Leave Management: Effectively manage leave planning to minimize impact on client work. Guide junior colleagues in their leave planning and development.
- Motivation and Engagement: Motivate managers, promote team engagement, and lead by example. Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
- Offshore Lead: Take charge of offshore valuations for key clients, ensuring successful project outcomes and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Prioritization and Communication: Prioritize projects and team concerns with minimal assistance. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management and team members.
- Talent Utilization: Ensure all colleagues are utilized based on their skill set and experience. Promote professional growth and development within the team.
- Performance Metrics: Take ownership of team performance metrics, retention, and engagement. Implement strategies to improve these areas and drive business success.
- Actuarial Analysis: Proficient in actuarial analysis, particularly in reserving and pricing.
- Project Management: Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on quality delivery and process efficiency.
- Capacity and Workload Management: Effective in capacity and workload management, ensuring teams are adequately staffed and resources are allocated efficiently.
- People Management: Skilled in people management, including effective stakeholder management, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Risk and Escalation Management: Aware of risks and escalations, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Operational Metrics: Understand and report on operational metrics, driving business improvement and optimization.
- Technology Tools: Proficient in using technology tools to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
- Cultural Awareness: Demonstrate cultural awareness, promoting diversity and inclusion within the team and organization.
- Process Re-engineering: Able to evaluate and execute process re-engineering, driving business improvement and efficiency.
