Dam Design Professional Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Dam Design Specialist to join our team.

  • Review all design submissions and assess preliminary designs for rehabilitation works, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Provide expert input on technical documents and contribute to the design of major rehabilitation components, including estimates based on item rate analysis or Scheduled of Rates (SOR).
  • Conduct thorough dam safety inspections and manage transmittals, ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders.
  • Develop customized training programs and conduct capacity building of DRIP IAs at various levels, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to guideline revisions and formulate new ones, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review PSTs and basic layout plans, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
  • Finalize preliminary designs for rehabilitation works, incorporating stakeholder input and feedback.
  • Provide inputs for National Website and MIS system, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist in developing in-house expertise at Academic Institutes, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Develop Training Calendars for design activities, scheduling and coordinating training sessions.
  • Conduct need-based inspections of DRIP dams, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.
  • Accompany DSRP panels for special safety issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
