Role Overview

The Electronics Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in driving supplier development and ensuring product quality through collaboration with vendors, cross-functional teams, and manufacturing partners.

This position ensures effective quality systems at the supplier end and delivers robust processes for electronics and component manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing and monitoring supplier quality performance through regular assessments, audits, and scorecards
  • Leading supplier quality development initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost
  • Supporting new supplier onboarding, validation, and qualification processes
  • Collaborating with internal quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier-related issues
  • Driving Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving tools
  • Ensuring compliance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949
  • Participating in Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP submissions, and change control processes
  • Coordinating with suppliers and customers on technical reviews, complaints resolution, and audits
  • Maintaining accurate quality documentation, supplier performance records, and continuous improvement logs

Requirements

  • A strong knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and methodologies
  • Experience in Supplier Quality Development and vendor management
  • A working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) – ISO 9001, IATF 16949
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and product specifications
  • Familiarity with electronic components, PCBA, and manufacturing processes
