E-commerce Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented e-commerce tester to act like a real customer and evaluate websites from start to finish. This involves following a comprehensive checklist, testing how easy the site is to use, checking payment options, and completing small test purchases.
- Visit assigned websites and understand their purpose.
- Follow a step-by-step checklist and record your findings.
- Test key user flows (like browsing products, adding to cart, and checking out).
- Identify and report issues such as broken links, confusing content, or accessibility problems.
- Verify payment methods (credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple/Google Pay) and complete test transactions.
- Confirm post-purchase details like order confirmation pages and email receipts.
- Take screenshots or screen recordings to illustrate your findings.
- Prioritize issues based on their severity and suggest quick fixes.
- Keep us updated on your progress and report any blockers.
- Handle login details and test data securely.
As an e-commerce tester, you will be using various tools such as web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge), screen capture tools (Loom, CleanShot), task tracking tools (Jira, Asana, Trello), documentation tools (Google Docs/Sheets, Notion), and security tools (password manager, VPN).
To be successful in this role, you should be able to:
- Complete all checklist items and test scenarios.
- Deliver clear, detailed, and easy-to-understand reports.
- Verify payment methods accurately and complete test purchases.
- Communicate proactively and deliver results on time.
