About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Payroll Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of payroll specialists, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and developing and implementing effective payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing payroll data to identify trends and areas for improvement, delivering payroll-related training and communications, and serving as a subject matter expert on payroll-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists to deliver timely and accurate payroll processing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy of employee data and payroll-related accounting transactions
- Develop and implement effective payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Monitor and analyze payroll data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Deliver payroll-related training and communications to ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures across the organization

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least 10 years of experience managing payroll functions for multiple entities and countries
- Strong working knowledge of local regulations and policies related to payroll and HR
- Experience managing a team and driving process improvements
- Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to different audiences
