Job Summary

The role of Taxation Specialist involves providing critical support to the assessment process with tax authorities, fostering collaboration and effective communication. A strong candidate will possess a deep understanding of corporate tax and international tax regulations, as well as excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support assessment proceedings with tax authorities by offering expert guidance.
  • Liaise with tax authorities to ensure seamless ongoing matters.
  • Prepare rectification applications and related submissions accurately.
  • Conduct in-depth research on direct tax and transfer pricing issues, and develop comprehensive technical submissions.
  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of replies before tax authorities (penalty proceedings, stay of demand, demand adjustment, appeal effect applications, etc.).
  • Coordinate the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns.
  • Independently manage TDS returns to maintain compliance.
  • Determine advance tax computations based on estimates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide expert advice on international tax matters, including the interpretation of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (2021–2024 batch).
  • Minimum 1–4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably with Big 4 firms or MNCs.
  • Proven exposure to corporate tax and international taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax and international tax regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.
  • Business acumen with adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and hands-on with strong initiative.
