Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Messaging Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting messaging systems, providing technical support, and managing infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technology stack including Solace Messaging, Cloud (AWS preferred), and Scripting using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl, etc.

  • Performing engineering, configuration, and administration activities for Solace messaging.
  • Working closely with the Engineering team and having a willingness to learn and support other messaging systems.
  • Architecting and deploying messaging infrastructure using Solace PubSub+ / Advanced Event Mesh across cloud environments.
  • Defining and implementing event-driven strategies, leveraging Solace features like event mesh, topic hierarchies, and dynamic routing.
  • Configuring Solace components such as brokers, VPNs, queues, topics, and client connections for optimal performance.
  • Ensuring robust security, access control, and monitoring of Solace environments.
  • Collaborating with development teams to integrate Solace with microservices, APIs, and external platforms.
  • Troubleshooting complex messaging issues, including latency, throughput, and durability concerns.
  • Automating setup and monitoring processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Advising on best practices for event modeling, governance, and topic taxonomy.
  • Supporting enablement activities such as training and knowledge transfer for internal teams.
  • Providing level 3 support, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
