Job Summary:
We seek an energetic and engaged Senior Performance Engineer who is well-versed in performance testing in Agile environments. This role drives Performance Validation and quality delivery for Evernorth program deliverables, focusing on establishing performance engineering, driving execution, and enabling high-impact QA engineering functions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development and QA leaders to assess testing needs and define a performance test strategy.
- Develop and present a performance testing roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Design high-level performance test automation strategies based on industry best practices, such as DevOps.
- Evaluate performance/resiliency testing tools and guide their implementation in an enterprise environment.
- Triage failed performance tests to minimize occurrence rates and enable self-service early performance testing (shift-left).
- Work independently to triage issues, prioritize tasks, and develop reports for leadership on progress in performance test strategy.
Key Expertise:
- Extensive experience in performance testing and engineering across various deployment architectures, including VM, OpenShift, and AWS.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control tools like GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Working experience with JIRA/Zephyr or equivalent tools.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, preferably with 3+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience using leading APM tools, such as Dynatrace, New Relic, and Splunk.
- Root cause analysis skills for performance issues and experience providing tuning recommendations.
- Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries, preferably with 2+ years of experience.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and Git.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
