Job Title: Senior Design Director

We are seeking a Senior Design Director to lead our architectural design team. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing architectural designs for large complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate concept designs with design teams as needed, refining selected options into schematic and draft final designs including drawings and reports.
  • Cross-disciplinary coordination with other design specializations for projects of high complexity across all design stages as needed.
  • Work with stakeholders for design value engineering on projects of high complexity as needed.
  • Review and validate design deliverables for medium to high complexity projects with clients and authorities, capturing feedback and obtaining approvals as needed.
  • Develop tender documents with the Quantity Surveying Department, including specifications Bills of Quantities and Conditions of Contract, and provide support during the tender process as needed.
  • Review design deliverables of medium complexity projects, including detailed reviews checks and issuing of checking reports as needed.
  • Support Project Managers in developing reviewing and updating work programs and man-hour estimates, and managing changes in project scope schedule or budgets as needed.
  • Manage project budgets resource allocation and project schedules as needed.
  • Manage project contractual risks as needed.
  • Manage external suppliers and subcontracts ensuring adherence to project scope schedule and budget as needed.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules as needed.
  • Develop periodic progress reports as needed.
  • Implement quality control policies and procedures on design deliverables and conduct peer reviews on team members' deliverables.
  • Supervise projects during the supervision stage as needed, including responding to RFIs and solving design conflicts in coordination with local design support teams.
