Job Role:

Intellectual Property (IP) Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Specialist to join our team. As an IP Specialist, you will be responsible for providing timely IP inputs to stakeholders for smooth product launch, ensuring alignment with product strategy in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake due diligence of products to apprise stakeholders about key patent rights, identifying acquisition or early launch potential.
  • Conduct patent searches to determine patentable inventions and file/prosecute patent applications to augment the patent estate.
  • Lead due diligence activities for products of interest, highlighting value propositions for acquiring/licensing/merging products from an IP standpoint.
  • Identify new product opportunities for portfolio selection and evaluate innovative ideas for patent protection/development, differentiating products through unique features.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm)/Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) degree, preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.
  • 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), or 6 years of experience with a Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm), both with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.
  • Relevant techno-legal experience in regulated markets, in-depth knowledge of Patent laws in India, US, and Europe, and acumen for Paragraph IV filings in the USA.
