Reliability Engineering Lead

This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead the development and implementation of service reliability strategies, driving the reduction of operational toil and fostering an environment of automation and efficiency.

As a key member of our platform engineering team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional groups to identify areas for improvement, design and implement reliability enhancements, and develop methodologies for identifying and eliminating inefficient processes.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in defining and implementing service level objectives, operating within error budgets, and implementing monitoring and observability technologies for complex systems.

A strong understanding of technical systems, coupled with excellent analytical skills and a solid grasp of production support processes, is essential for success in this position.

We are seeking an experienced SRE practitioner who can lead by example, promoting a culture of reliability and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement service reliability strategies
  • Promote an 'Automate-first' culture through the reduction of operational toil
  • Design and implement reliability enhancements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and enhance service quality
  • Develop and implement service level objectives (SLOs) for critical services
  • Define monitoring strategy and implement appropriate capabilities
  • Lead architectural reviews for reliability

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in SRE role with 5+ years working experience
  • Practical experience defining and implementing SLOs and operating within error budgets
  • Extensive knowledge of monitoring and observability technologies
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of production support processes
  • 2+ years of experience with one/more public/private cloud platforms
