Senior Technical Leader

This role is a high-level engineering position that requires an individual to work within an engineering team. The job involves project leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for creating feasibility study reports and discussing them with the Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • They will work closely with the WSP India team to develop design specifications that meet employer requirements.
  • The individual must agree and monitor the scope of works with the Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • They will define building requirements and purposes of use in collaboration with the Local CRC Head of Structures and WSP India team.
  • The candidate will be responsible for detailed design as per client requirements, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • They will review and monitor production of calculations, QA, technical reviews, and sign off.
  • The person must coordinate project contracts documents and reviews input from team members.
  • They will lead the design process and promote cost-effective solutions.
  • The individual must manage document control, QA processes, and coach junior staff in their usage.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing Building Structures.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with technical structural software (RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD).
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office and technical terminology.
  • Strong management, communication, and technical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
  • Membership to an accredited engineering body.
  • Demonstrated experience: 12+ years.
