Job Description

The Information Security Director - Compliance role is a strategic position that plays a vital part in strengthening our Governance, Risk, and Compliance capabilities. We are seeking an experienced professional who can drive security governance initiatives, assess and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Security Strategies: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and frameworks in alignment with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2.
  • Enhance Security Culture: Conduct security awareness programs and promote a culture of security within the organization.
  • Ensure Policy Adherence: Monitor and enforce adherence to security policies and standards.
  • Provide Compliance Insights: Develop dashboards and reports for leadership to monitor the organization's compliance and risk posture.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Manage Risk Registers: Track and manage risk registers, ensuring timely updates and risk remediation efforts.
  • Assess Third-Party Risks: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess third-party risks and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare for Audits: Prepare and maintain documentation for certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II).
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR) and industry-specific standards.
  • Support Internal and External Audits: Support internal and external audits by gathering evidence, responding to auditor queries, and remediating identified gaps.
  • Integrate Security into Business Processes: Work closely with IT, Legal, and business teams to integrate security requirements into business processes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure risk and compliance considerations are factored into system design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in Security Engineering: 6-8 years of experience in security engineering, GRC.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS.
  • Risk Management Processes: Strong knowledge with end-to-end risk management processes.
  • GRC Tools: Proficiency in GRC tools (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow GRC, OneTrust).
  • Audit Experience: Experience in conducting internal audits and working with external auditors.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, ISO 27001 LA/Auditor, or CISM.
  • Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security and compliance (Azure, AWS).
