Microsoft 365 Messaging Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience managing and optimizing Microsoft 365 Exchange environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level messaging and collaboration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize Exchange Online environments to ensure seamless messaging and collaboration across the organization.
  • Design and implement mail flow, transport rules, and message hygiene policies to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Develop and execute mailbox migration strategies from on-premises Exchange or other email platforms to Exchange Online.
  • Troubleshoot complex messaging issues and provide expert support to end-users.
  • Implement and manage retention policies, litigation holds, and eDiscovery processes to ensure data governance and compliance.

Azure Infrastructure Management:

  • Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions to support O365 services, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Configure Azure AD Connect for hybrid identity scenarios to ensure seamless authentication and authorization.
  • Manage Entra, including conditional access policies and MFA, to ensure secure access to organizational resources.
  • Implement Azure networking solutions for secure O365 connectivity, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization and costs to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Configure Azure backup and disaster recovery solutions for O365 workloads to ensure business continuity.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices for Exchange Online and Azure environments to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements through regular security assessments and vulnerability management.
  • Document security configurations (Hardening) and maintain audit trails to ensure transparency and accountability.

Automation and Infrastructure as Code:

  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell for O365 and Azure management, improving efficiency and reducing errors.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates using Ansible or Terraform, ensuring consistent and reliable deployments.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, streamlining the development process and reducing downtime.
  • Build reusable modules and playbooks for common administrative tasks, improving productivity and efficiency.
  • Document automation workflows and maintain version control to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
