Job Overview

As a Backend Developer, you will be working closely with the Engineering team to design and develop scalable software solutions. You will contribute to the ideation, technical design, implementation, and testing of product features that will transform the capital markets.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering thoughtfully crafted REST APIs, interfaces, and database schemas to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Producing high-quality software following good architecture and design principles that are scalable.
  • Contribute to test automation within an agile team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agile processes and the related QA lifecycle, JIRA, and Scrum methodology. They will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex technical environment with high levels of innovation and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is required or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in hands-on coding.
  • Experience in NodeJS, Typescript/Javascript.
  • Comfortable with SQL and NoSQL database technology.
  • Foundation-level knowledge and programming experience with fintech lending is a plus.
  • Experience building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments.
