Learning Management System Administrator

Key responsibilities include managing the entire lifecycle of learning content within a Learning Management System (LMS). This involves configuring and publishing courses, curricula, and learning paths, ensuring proper categorization, tagging, and metadata for optimal searchability and reporting.

Additionally, this role entails managing course enrollment processes, prerequisites, and completion requirements, as well as coordinating SCORM, xAPI, and other content package uploads and testing. Maintenance of course catalogs and content accuracy and currency are also essential tasks.

The position requires troubleshooting technical issues related to course functionality and user access, conducting quality assurance of content assets, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Administration of user accounts, roles, and permissions, monitoring learner progress, generating and analyzing learning analytics reports, and managing compliance training requirements are also key responsibilities.

Strategic learning support is another critical aspect of this role, involving collaboration with learning and development teams to align LMS capabilities with organizational learning objectives. Providing recommendations for platform optimization and feature utilization, supporting the evaluation and implementation of new learning technologies and integrations, and assisting in developing learning governance policies and standard operating procedures are all important duties.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience with Learning Management Systems, preferably Cornerstone OnDemand, as well as 2+ years of project management experience, preferably in learning and development contexts. Experience with e-learning content development and SCORM standards is also desired.

Technical skills required for this role include proficiency in Cornerstone OnDemand platform administration and configuration, understanding of learning standards (SCORM, xAPI/Tin Can, AICC), and experience with content authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar). Strong analytical skills with experience in learning analytics and reporting, familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web technologies, and project management software proficiency are also necessary.

Core competencies for this position include strong project management and organizational skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail, ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects, customer service orientation with focus on learner experience, change management and process improvement capabilities, and project management certification or similar.
