Job Title: Transformation Expert for Legacy System Modernization

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformation Expert to lead our efforts in modernizing legacy IBM AS400 green-screen applications. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our business by transforming outdated systems into modern, responsive web applications.

About the Role:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of end-to-end web-based modernization solutions for AS400-based core banking applications.
  • Evaluate legacy AS400 code and green-screen applications, translating them into maintainable web applications.
  • Develop comprehensive integration strategies to interact seamlessly with AS400 backend data, business logic, and DB2 databases.
  • Guide the team in implementing efficient and scalable front-end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, React).
  • Implement secure, reliable middleware using technologies such as Node.js or Golang, and REST APIs to bridge modern front-end applications with legacy backend systems.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with IBM i-series (AS400) environment, COBOL/RPG/CL programs, and green-screen application modernization.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 and proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and data modeling.
  • Expertise in developing modern front-end applications using JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular, or React.
  • Solid experience with middleware and backend development using Node.js /Golang, and integration via RESTful services.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
