Manufacturing Professional Opportunity

The Saint-Gobain Glass manufacturing unit is a strategic investment in western India with the acquisition of a float glass facility in 2011.

Located at Central Gujarat in Jhagadia of Bharuch District, the state-of-the-art float glass plant covers an area of 150 acres with a capacity to produce 550 MT of clear glass per day. This achievement sets a high-quality benchmark standard within India and globally due to its ability to produce clear glass with less than 650 ppm of Iron.

This location also takes pride in setting this benchmark for its TVC campaign of Clear Glass of 654 PPM.

The campus has uniquely positioned in-house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand per day.

Today, the Jhagadia glass site has positioned itself over a decade to attract future investments of Saint-Gobain in India.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Maintain electrical equipment including switchyard, HT & LT switchgears, SF6, transformer, motors, EOT cranes, Battery & Battery charger, UPS, PCC, MCC, Plant lighting & PLC, Electro hydraulic grab, and crushing equipment.
  • Maintain and operate knowledge in gensets, electrical Panels, Transformers, isolators and lightning arrestors.
  • Maintain Soft starters & Automation systems & Basic operations of PLC's and SCADA.
  • Troubleshoot AC/DC machines, & Circuit Theory & earthing concepts.
  • Control systems & Automation systems
  • Protection and metering devices & systems
  • VFD & PLC applications
  • Encoders & feedback sensors
  • HV, MV & LV Power systems & equipments
  • Electrical generation & distribution system
  • Energy calculations and efficiency improvements
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma - Electrical Engineering from reputed Engineering Institutions with Good Academic record
  • 3-5 years Experience in Manufacturing / Process / Engg. Industry
