PHP Software Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PHP software engineer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who have expertise in developing dynamic web applications using PHP, CodeIgniter framework, and related technologies.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, testers) to deliver high-quality solutions and stay updated with emerging web technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain complex web applications using PHP, CodeIgniter, and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end teams with server-side logic.
  • Optimize database schemas, queries, and APIs to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and propose improvements to existing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a PHP developer or software engineer.
  • Strong expertise in the CodeIgniter framework and PHP 7/8.
  • Solid understanding of MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Knowledge of MVC architecture, OOP concepts, and secure coding practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
