Chief Economist

We are seeking an Economic Analyst to support our Manufacturing department in researching economic issues, conducting surveys and collecting data, analyzing data using analytical models and statistical techniques, presenting research results in reports, tables, and charts, interpreting and forecasting market trends, advising businesses, governments, and individuals on economic topics, recommending solutions to economic problems, and writing articles for academic journals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement research agendas and report concepts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration: Engage with ministries, universities, think tanks, and other agencies to conduct research assignments and gather insights.
• Agenda Setting: Identify key initiatives and areas of focus for research and analysis.
• Talking Points: Prepare discussion points and talking points for meetings and discussions to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should have a strong understanding of economic principles and practices, and experience working with data and statistical models.
