Forensic Investigator Role

A pioneer in AI-driven breach response and extortion management, our organization specializes in automating negotiations, investigations, and recovery for cyber insurers, enterprises, and cybersecurity teams.

This contract remote role involves conducting forensic analysis and investigations, analyzing malware, and compiling evidence related to cybersecurity incidents.

  • Conduct digital forensic investigations across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
  • Use advanced tools like Velociraptor to collect, preserve, and analyze evidence.
  • Perform endpoint, memory, and disk forensics to uncover attacker actions, persistence, and lateral movement.

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of Windows internals, registry analysis, and common attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), as well as hands-on experience with multiple forensic tools and scripting ability (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate evidence extraction.

Solid understanding of chain-of-custody and evidence preservation best practices is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyze complex cybersecurity incidents.
  • Collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence from various sources.
  • Develop and implement effective forensic strategies to support incident response efforts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in digital forensic investigations and malware analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Windows internals, registry analysis, and common attacker TTPs.
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and multiple forensic tools.
