Design Engineer Role

This is a full-time on-site position for a Junior Design Engineer, located in Kottayam.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop general layout drawings for process equipment.
  • Create Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement and fabrication.
  • Revise drawings based on manufacturing and customer feedback.
  • Design 2D and 3D models of process equipment using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and manufacturing personnel.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with software such as Auto-CAD and Solid Edge.
  • Ability to create detailed general arrangement drawings essential.
  • Prepares detailed material take-offs on projects based upon drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience of drawing presentation, critical dimensioning, view presentations, and parts list preparation.
  • Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes like laser cutting, bending, welding, basic machining.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience on advanced assemblies and layouts with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), surface finishes, welding details, and engineering notes.
  • Working knowledge of SAP system preferred.
  • Experience in making GA layouts beneficial.
  • At least 1+ years of hands-on experience in Solid Edge.
  • Quick learner and adaptable to existing systems.
