Job Description:

As a key player in our smart grid transformation initiatives, the successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, testing, and deploying GE PowerOn Advantage/ADMS modules. They will also customize business logic, alarms, telemetry points, and control actions to meet specific requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GE PowerOn (Advantage / Fusion / Control) and proficiency in SCADA protocols (DNP3, IEC 101/104, Modbus). Strong scripting ability in PL/SQL, Shell, Perl is also essential. Additionally, they should be familiar with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), exposure to distribution network modeling and GIS-to-ADMS mapping is preferred.

This role requires a strong understanding of distribution system operations and control center processes. The right candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve real-time operational issues on SCADA/DMS platforms, provide user training, documentation, and L2/L3 support to control room operators, and collaborate with internal teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in SCADA/ADMS/OMS engineering within the electric utility sector
  • Hands-on experience with GE PowerOn (Advantage / Fusion / Control)
  • Proficiency in SCADA protocols (DNP3, IEC 101/104, Modbus)
  • Strong scripting ability in PL/SQL, Shell, Perl
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Exposure to distribution network modeling and GIS-to-ADMS mapping
