Job Title: QA Practice Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Practice Lead to join our team at Softobiz. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for crafting and executing test plans to maximize test coverage, release velocity, and production health.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test execution for large-scale enterprises.
  • Design and lead the implementation of test automation solutions, including automation frameworks and test strategy.
  • Experience in end-to-end project management, including all stages of testing, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Expertise in API/Microservices Testing & Automation using Rest Assured, Postman.
  • Drive the shift left in new ways of working, Agile/DevOps.
  • Establish and lead the Testing Practice within the company, including the development of a strategic roadmap for testing capabilities.
  • Define and implement testing methodologies, standards, and processes that align with industry best practices and business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques, tools, processes, and practices to improve automation efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to automation scripts, frameworks, and processes, reducing escapes.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to automation, such as test coverage, defect density, and execution time.
  • Provide detailed reports on test automation activities, including successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate automation strategies, progress, and results to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks in automation testing and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  • Overall 12+ years of QA experience and minimum 5+ years of test automation experience.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing testing strategies for diversified environments like Mobile/Desktop/Web/Api/Integration.
  • Automation skills like Selenium, Playwright, Webdriver.Io, Appium or similar.
  • Excellent experience in developing automation frameworks such as BDD, Data-Driven, Hybrid frameworks using multiple programming languages and experience with tools such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, and Behave.
  • Strong working experience using programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python.
  • Experience in automated API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Rest Sharp, SuperTest or similar.
  • Strong understanding of GIT and versioning.
  • Experience in CI/CD with knowledge on Configuration, Build, Release management using any of the tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, BitBucket.
  • Ability to draft, distribute, and socialize formal documents such as project reports, artefacts, and knowledge bases.
  • Experience in various agile project activities and techniques such as stand-ups, iteration planning and execution, Kanban card walls, and retrospectives.
