Key Technical Lead

The role of the Key Technical Lead is to bridge the gap between art and engineering, fostering close collaboration with game studio artists and engineers to achieve the player-facing vision for the game.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement visual assets in Unity, including particle effects, shader effects, and animations, ensuring seamless integration into the game environment.
  • Integrate artistic elements into Unity and connect them with gameplay code, guaranteeing a cohesive gaming experience.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to the art pipeline, maintaining optimal performance and memory usage.
  • Provide technical feedback to artists, facilitating the creation of optimized assets that meet the game's standards.
  • Document and promote best practices within the team, driving excellence in technical expertise.
  • Suggest or develop tools and scripts to enhance Unity workflow efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, art, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working in a game development studio, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Working knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics, After Effects, and 3DsMax, or equivalent software.
  • Proficiency in Unity, Unreal, or other leading game engines, with experience in implementing complex visual effects.
  • Familiarity with versioning software, such as Perforce, CVS, Alien Brain, or similar tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages, including C, JS, MEL, or Python, with a focus on optimizing performance and memory usage.
  • Familiarity with unity shaders and procedural art techniques, with a deep understanding of lighting and materials.
  • Strong skills in performance and memory profiling and optimization, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
