Job Title:

Vernacular Content Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vernacular Content Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating content from English to Hindi, coordinating vernacular outreach, and managing our Hindi website and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi for our website, social media, news releases, and other outreach materials.
  • Collaborate with freelance translators to ensure smooth delivery of multilingual campaign content.
  • Manage and maintain our Hindi website and social media platforms.
  • Support content development and management of our Hindi Facebook page and other regional social media platforms.
  • Work closely with the Online and Campaigns teams to create Hindi creatives for social media use.
  • Stay informed about our ongoing campaigns to ensure consistency and accuracy across all Hindi content.
  • Maintain a positive and professional mindset.
  • Meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Apply a strong understanding of animal rights and our mission to translation work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of practical experience in translation from English to Hindi.
  • Strong coordination skills and ability to manage freelance translators.
  • Excellent translation skill from English to Hindi and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and engagement practices.
  • Experience with website and social media content management is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Strong time-management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
