A System Reliability Expert is required to design and implement scalable, efficient, and reliable software systems.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to engineer solutions that meet business needs while ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of applications and platforms.

  • Design and develop complex software systems using automation tools, scripting languages, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and teams to design, implement, and optimize deployment approaches using continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability and scalability of applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for site reliability engineering within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience with troubleshooting issues against common technologies (MSSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MQ, Kafka, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, etc.).
  • Drive to self-educate and evaluate modern technologies.
  • Ability to engineer toil reduction and automation solutions using Python, Java, or C++ programming languages.
  • Excellent communication skills and a highly positive attitude.
  • Hands-on exposure to private and public cloud computing.
  • Good knowledge of site reliability culture and principles with demonstrated ability to implement site reliability within an application or platform.
  • Firsthand knowledge and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, service level objectives, alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
  • Knowledge/experience in automation scripting and robotics tooling.
  • Practical experience with chaos engineering/resiliency testing.
