Cyber Security Expert - Join a dynamic team to protect our organization from cyber threats.
Job Description:As a Cyber Security Expert, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and responding to emerging security incidents. Key responsibilities include investigating and documenting security issues, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and providing Incident Response (IR) support when necessary.
- Monitor and analyze logs and alerts from various technologies across multiple platforms to identify and triage security incidents affecting the enterprise.
- Perform threat hunting along with in-depth investigation and support to incidents escalated from the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Define and document playbooks, standard operating procedures, and processes for effective incident response.
Achieving high level of efficiency in Incident Response is vital. Ensure that you understand how your actions contribute to making it happen
Key Requirements:To succeed in this challenging role, you must possess strong technical knowledge of organization's systems, networks, and infrastructure. You should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Anti-Virus, Host-based Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS), Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (NIDS/NIPS), Full Packet Capture, Network-Based Forensics, and Encryption.
- Deep understanding of security-related events such as Phishing, Malware, Denial-of-Service (DoS)/Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, Application-specific Attacks, Ransomware, etc.
- Proficiency with advanced certifications like SANS GIAC / GCIA / GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or IR-specific training and certification is highly valued.
- At least 5 years of experience as a lead investigator and 2.5 years of experience as a lead analyst in Incident Response.
