Job Title: Data Architect
We are seeking a seasoned data architect to lead data-driven projects and design robust data architectures.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design and development of features in our existing data warehouse.
- Lead the connection between engineering, product, and analytics/data scientist teams.
- Design, implement, and update batch ETL pipelines.
- Define and implement data architecture.
- Collaborate with engineers and data analysts to build reliable datasets.
- Work with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, and others.
The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in data architecture and modeling. They should possess solid expertise in data modeling paradigms such as Kimball, Inmon, Data Marts, Data Vault, Medallion, and others.
A strong understanding of cloud-based data strategies and big data technologies is essential. The candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL, PostgreSQL development, query optimization, and index designing.
In addition, they should be able to manipulate intermediate to complex-level SQL and have thorough knowledge of Postgres PL/SQL. Experience with advanced SQL concepts, statistical concepts through SQL, and PostGIS extensions is desirable.
The candidate should also have expertise in writing ETL pipelines combining Python and SQL. Understanding of data manipulation libraries in Python like Pandas, Polars, DuckDB is beneficial.
