Job Description

At Allegion India Private Limited, we're seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Automation Specialist to join our team. This role is based in Dublin, Ireland.

We offer a competitive salary of €70,000 - €100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Administration: Support the continued administration, management, documentation, training, and enhancement of managed SaaS solutions owned by the DevOps Platform team.
  • Application Development: Develop specified application components, enhancements, or automation scripts as needed.
  • Update Propagation: Track and support the propagation of updates, new features, capabilities, usage, and licensing for one or multiple SaaS solutions.
  • Competitive Analysis: Evaluate and compare competitive tools on a regular cadence to ensure Allegion's investments yield maximum benefit.
  • Best Practices Advocacy: Advocate for the implementation and utilization of best practices across the enterprise.
  • Business Process Improvement: Analyze existing business processes and software for potential design improvements.
  • Automation and Optimization: Work across Enterprise teams to implement automation and optimizations to minimize overhead costs and scale the capabilities of the team to own and manage additional tools.
  • Technical Communication: Communicate technical capabilities of tools to engineering teams and how those capabilities relate to business objectives to all levels of the organization through documentation, training, and awareness.
  • Security and Data Privacy: Advocate for and ensure security and data privacy of all applications and data storage.
  • Project Coordination: Help clarify, identify, and ensure hand-off requirements and project issues and escalate appropriately where required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Enterprise SaaS Experience: Experience managing or supporting large Enterprise SaaS tools such as SonarQube, Black Duck, Azure DevOps, or Github Enterprise.
  • Documentation Creation: Experience creating internal documentation relied upon by a wide variety of end users.
  • Emerging Technologies: Have a passion for technology and willingness to explore and adopt emerging technologies for practical business purposes.
  • Programming Languages: Experience with modern general-purpose object-oriented languages such as C# or Java and/or experience in modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
  • Agile Teamwork: A positive attitude working with an agile team to develop innovative technical solutions built on a secure foundation that enable business growth, more reliable customer interactions, and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Business Domain Understanding: Be apt at understanding new business domains and be creative and thoughtful about applying technology to improve processes and issues.
  • Process Design: Is comfortable contributing to the design and implementation of team and company-wide processes.
  • Proof-of-Concept Development: Ability to quickly build proof-of-concept solutions that are forward-looking to how they could be implemented on a larger scale.
  • Innovation Behaviors: Demonstrated experience modeling the innovation behaviors of questioning, observing, experimenting, networking, and associating.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and share knowledge with team members and across the Allegion IT teams.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Verbal and written communication, with various team members in roles that are both technical and non-technical particularly to give direction or present business value of various initiatives to leadership.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Proactively work to coordinate efforts with employees at all levels including internal business partners, other technology teams, external suppliers/consultants, service providers, etc.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Ability to identify issues, generate solutions, and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
  • Software Architecture: Demonstrated knowledge in software and solution architecture.
  • Application Design: Experience designing applications that collectively integrate custom software, cloud architectures, and commercial off-the-shelf software, and possess a keen awareness of the services available and benefits or trade-offs of each paradigm.
  • Development Methodologies: Demonstrated knowledge in software development methodologies and best practices, application lifecycle management, and development and automation tooling.
