Job Overview

The ideal candidate for this Civil Structural Designer position will have expertise in modeling structures and civil works foundation, as well as proficiency in 3D/2D environments using AutoCAD, Tekla, and Advance Steel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drawings Preparation: Utilize AutoCAD, Tekla, and Advance Steel to create detailed drawings of structural elements.
  • General Arrangement Drawings: Prepare GA drawings for structure piperack/PEB structure layouts.
  • Civil Foundation Drawings: Create drawings for civil foundations and beam structures including connection details.
  • Structural GA & Fabrication Drawings: Prepare structural GA and fabrication drawings including connection details and material specifications.
  • Layout Drawings: Create layout drawings for projects including site planning and construction management.
  • Cutting Layout Drawing: Prepare cutting layout drawings for materials and components.
  • BOM's / MTO's: Create BOMs and MTOs for projects including material sourcing and supply chain management.
  • Bar Bending Schedule: Familiarity with bar bending schedules is an advantage in structural engineering.
  • As-Built Mark-ups: Update CAD drawings with as-built mark-ups to reflect changes in project scope.
  • Shop Floor Issues: Attend to shop floor issues during fabrication including quality control and assurance.
  • Vendor Drawing Review: Experience in reviewing vendor drawings is preferred for project coordination.
  • Engineering Drawing Checking: Experience in checking engineering drawings is an advantage in ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, and Advance Steel software.
  • Knowledge of materials, piping specifications, and welding symbols.
  • Excellent drawing preparation skills including attention to detail and creativity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team including effective communication and collaboration.
