About the Backend Development Role

As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing robust server-side applications using modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Utilize Node.js and NestJS framework to create and maintain backend services
  • API Development: Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to drive business growth
  • Database Management: Design and implement database schemas, queries, and optimizations in PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity
  • Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and industry standards
  • Testing: Implement automated testing strategies including unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and performance
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments to guarantee seamless user experience
  • Code Review: Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decision-making to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment pipelines and infrastructure management to ensure efficient application deployment and maintenance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of professional backend development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript programming languages
  • Hands-on experience with NestJS framework and its ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL database design and implementation
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles and architecture
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar) and automation tools
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture concepts
