Cloud Engineer - Global Technical Excellence

This position plays a vital role in building a truly global, self-service cloud platform to enable engineering teams to build, deploy, run, and operate their services in a fully autonomous fashion.

You will help drive technical decision-making, supporting the global cloud platform. Your responsibilities will include non-incident business hour troubleshooting, reviewing pull requests, following established runbooks for infrastructure provisioning, onboarding assistance, and lightweight solution architecting.

Key tasks involve applying security patches to infrastructure, modifying Terraform modules, approving pull requests, and supporting new product launches by provisioning AWS resources and Ingress stacks according to established procedures.

Additionally, you will provide mentoring to junior engineers and embrace constructive feedback from various groups, adapting to align with organizational standards and objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of hands-on experience working on a Cloud environment
  • Hands-on experience with at least one Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool, such as CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Experience working in a support ticketing system following runbooks and decision trees for triaging
  • Hands-on experience with technologies on our stack, including Java and Spring/Spring Boot
  • Operational experience, including on-call rotation and incident response
  • Ability to drive best practices and set standards for your team
