Cloud Security Engineer Position Overview

This role requires a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure systems in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, including shift-left security and zero trust architecture. They will also have expertise in CI/CD tooling and automation across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable and high-performing software delivery.
  • Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
  • Architect and manage multi-cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Implement container orchestration with Kubernetes, including Helm charts and service meshes.
  • Develop and enforce DevSecOps policies, including vulnerability scanning and compliance automation.
  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD workflows, such as code signing and DAST/SAST scanning.
  • Build and maintain monitoring and observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana and ELK/EFK.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible and Chef.
  • Manage API gateways and traffic routing using tools like Kong and NGINX.
  • Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience designing and supporting scalable, highly available and secure systems in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, including shift-left security and zero trust architecture.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tooling and automation across multiple platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes internals and container runtimes.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go and Java.
  • Strong grasp of networking protocols and cloud networking.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and artifact repositories.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent practical experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering or platform operations will also be considered.
