Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for the design and development of innovative products that meet our customers' needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and developing structural or mechanical assemblies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product ideas, while ensuring that they meet our high standards for quality, safety, and performance.

  • Design and prototype wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components
  • Assist in gathering insights on market needs and consumer trends to inform product development
  • Engineer lightweight, robust load-bearing structures (FEA validation)
  • Integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design
  • Collaborate with vendors for precision fabrication and quality delivery
  • Conduct testing for durability, safety, and compliance
  • Optimize materials and processes for cost, weight, and performance
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, changes, and manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and blueprints for new products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the medical device industry

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
