Senior Apparel Buying Manager

We seek a seasoned professional to lead our menswear buying team. As Senior Apparel Buying Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategic plans and policies that optimize procurement processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive buying plans that align with organizational objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of buyers to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Market Monitoring and Supplier Performance Evaluation: Analyze market trends and evaluate supplier performance to inform buying decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to align buying activities with organizational objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to drive efficiency in the buying process.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in apparel buying and product experience, a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain is preferred.

Key Qualifications:
  • 10-15 years of experience in apparel buying and product management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (NIFT preferred)
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (CSCP, CPSM preferred)
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management
  • Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a buying team successfully
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing strategies and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting
