Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to design and implement automated test solutions, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The successful candidate will work closely with development and QA teams to develop test plans, create automation frameworks, and execute automated test scripts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and define test strategies.
  • Build and enhance test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Appium, etc.
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
  • Identify, track, and report software defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar defect management systems.
  • Conduct performance testing to assess system stability under different loads using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Continuously monitor and maintain automation scripts to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest software changes.
  • Document and report test results, providing feedback to the development team for troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Ensure automation goals align with the overall project timelines and quality standards.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, contribute to test automation best practices, and mentor junior team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation testing.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, or similar languages.
  • Expertise in automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Postman, or other relevant frameworks.
  • Experience with API testing and automation of backend services.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies, including Agile, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks (data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid).
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla) and test case management systems.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and integration of automated testing with DevOps pipelines.
  • ISTQB certification or other testing-related certifications are a plus.
