Job Overview:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team that designs and develops high-performance cloud systems and services. You will work closely with other teams to ensure scalability, supportability, and availability for owned services and dependent services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing high-performance and scalable cloud systems and services to meet the needs of Fortune 500 enterprise customers.
  • Coordinating with service development teams, product management, and support teams to ensure seamless scalability and supportability.
  • Developing state-of-the-art security features used by daily enterprise customers.
  • Resolving customer issues in a timely manner to improve issue resolution response time and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record.
  • Solid programming skills in C, C++, Python, TypeScript, and Linux.
  • Experience with data structures for scaling and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of Networking concepts - TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, VPN.
  • Experience with traffic analysis tools like Tcpdump/Wireshark.
  • Strong analytical, problem-spotting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with desire to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-timezone teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, SQL, and NoSQL datastores.
  • CI/CD, Jenkins, and Unit Testing frameworks (C++ gtest, pytest).

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; Master's degree in CS or equivalent preferred.
