Urban Design Lead

The role of the Urban Design Lead is to spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive urban design strategies, master plans, and zoning guidelines that enhance the functionality, sustainability, and livability of urban spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative and sustainable urban design solutions that incorporate best practices, emerging trends, and sustainable design principles
  • Lead and manage complex urban design projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards, budgets, and timelines
  • Collaborate with external consultants and internal project teams to develop detailed master plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Engage with community members, government agencies, and stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and address concerns
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Urban Design from a reputable institute such as CEPT University or School of Planning and Architecture
  • 17 years of experience out of which 7 years of experience in Urban Design and Design Management
  • Proficiency in building planning, infra codes for Urban Design, planning, and building
  • Ability to lead a design team and independently manage design consultants
  • Strong project management skills, including resource management, specific team responsibilities, delivery time-frames, tracking issues and risks, internal and external communication, and escalation
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, and Revit, with knowledge of GIS
