Job Overview:
At Panzura, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal SQA Engineer to join our Panzura Data Services (PDS) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation and a deep understanding of QA methodologies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and scalability testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the PDS product.
- Develop and implement test automation strategies that align with the overall QA goals and objectives.
- Identify areas for automation and improve existing automation processes.
- Collaborate with development, product management, and other QA team members to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and early detection of defects.
- Define, track, and report on key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of the QA process and identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for test plans, test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in test automation and quality assurance.
- Continuously improve the QA processes and practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
- Experience with Enterprise Data Management product quality assurance.
- Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Robot, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
- Database skills: experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Version control: proficiency with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and scalability testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with data management and analytics tools.
- Experience with security testing and best practices.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
