Cloud Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS.

  • Design and deploy scalable and secure cloud architectures using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Monitor and administer cloud infrastructure, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions utilizing backup software such as Veeam, AWS Snapshots, Commvault, and Backup Exec.
  • Oversee automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Okta.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Proven hands-on experience supporting the Okta SSO Platform.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
