Backend Developer Role

A skilled Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the server-side logic, database integration, and API connectivity.

  • We're looking for an experienced developer to join our team in building scalable and efficient server-side applications using Node.js and JavaScript.

About the role:

Our ideal candidate should have expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and at least one framework like Express.js or StrongLoop LoopBack. You will be responsible for:

  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Developing new modules/features end-to-end independently.
  • Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Any Engineering Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in software development.

Desirable skills:

The following skills would be beneficial:

  • Thorough understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
  • Expertise in at least one Javascript framework like React, Vue.js, or Backbone.
  • Basic architectural understanding of modern day web applications.
  • Diligence for coding standards.
  • Proficiency in Git and version control.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, testing and automation frameworks.
  • Extensive understanding of RDBMS systems.
