Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • SME in at least one functional module of the system or service
  • Design and quality ownership of the service owned as the SME
  • Code reviews and quality gatekeeper for the SME area
  • Assist and mentor junior members
  • Responsible for enforcing code reviews and test coverage
  • Ensure no regressions in the modules owned
  • Serve on interview panels and help grow the organization

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3+ year experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies and platforms such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Solid experience with web services
  • Understanding of JavaScript dependency management and build tools
  • Experience with MongoDB, Postgresql, MySQL database
  • Comfortable in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction coupled with team collaboration and open communication
  • Understanding of RESTful web services
  • Work in a fast-paced, creative atmosphere to develop new ideas that adapt to evolving user needs
  • Experience using Git / GitHub
