Job Overview

The role of a Network Support Specialist is to provide top-notch assistance to our global clientele. This involves becoming an expert in designated fields such as Wireless Technologies, Routing & Switching, Security & VPNs, Security Cameras, VoIP Phones, and Door Access Systems.

You will be the initial point of contact for our users, creating personalized action plans that not only resolve their issue but also provide a broader understanding of its origin and impact. We aim to ensure each user leaves their support interaction with a deeper comprehension of their technology.

To achieve this, you will gather all necessary background information and accurately qualify the nature of each support interaction. You will also prioritize requests based on severity and brand liability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Becoming an expert in designated fields

  • Gathering background information for support interactions
  • Prioritizing requests based on severity and brand liability

You will work closely with product development teams and key stakeholders to advance a user-centric approach to technical support. Your insights will help enhance the user experience for all customers.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about smart home and enterprise networking technology. Familiarity with client products is preferred, though not required. Proactive development of knowledge on the job is expected.

Requirements
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication

  • Knowledge of IP addresses, DHCP, VLANs, DNS, PoE, wireless communication, devices, and WiFi standards (e.g., WiFi 6), VPNs, and good judgment and prioritization skills

A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience is required. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are also essential.
