Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a solid understanding of data validation principles. They will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, validating large datasets, and ensuring quality across GCP-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and reports.
  • Perform in-depth data-level validations including schema checks, completeness, integrity, and freshness validations.
  • Work extensively with GCP services especially BigQuery for data validation.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for testing large data sets.
  • Automate test cases using GCP services like Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow, BigQuery, and SQL.
  • Monitor GCP cloud logs and build informative dashboards.
  • Identify, log, and track defects and provide regular status updates on execution/validation progress.
  • Manage defect triage with various stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in QA Engineering with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Hands-on data validation skills with experience in designing and executing test plans.
  • Strong understanding of GCP services especially BigQuery.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
  • Experience with automation tools like Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow.
