**About This Opportunity**

As a critical team member, you'll collaborate with our engineering team to design and develop scalable backend services and APIs. Your expertise in building robust systems will be essential in creating mission-critical services that support our open financial platform.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using Golang.
  • Utilize your knowledge of Ruby or Ruby on Rails to build efficient systems.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our service-oriented/microservices backend.
  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code with a focus on quality and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact features and improve system performance.
  • Improve monitoring and observability of backend services and troubleshoot production issues with a focus on reliability and root-cause analysis.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:**

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in high-scale backend systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang and Ruby/Ruby on Rails is required.
  • Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals – algorithms, data structures, and system design.
  • Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems, APIs, or backend platforms in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP), and containerization tools is beneficial.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
