Job Title: Polarion ExpertJob Description:
- Polarion is a comprehensive application lifecycle management solution that supports project-specific requirements, test planning, validation, release, and documentation workflows.
The ideal candidate will bring expert-level Polarion configuration skills combined with strong domain expertise in the V-model methodologies for requirements engineering, validation, change management, and release planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and tailor Polarion ALM to support project-specific requirements, test planning, validation, release, and documentation workflows.
- Design and implement processes, workflows, traceability matrices, and custom templates aligned with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and quality frameworks.
- Lead the rollout of Polarion solutions across international teams, including training, documentation, and end-user support.
- Develop and maintain test concepts, oversee test operations, and provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Polarion tool-related issues.
- Manage safety-relevant documentation and ensure regulatory traceability for compliance in automotive/battery systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment following the SAFe framework.
- Support and coach users across departments (Engineering, Quality, IT) to effectively utilize Polarion features for their use cases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Polarion configuration, workflow implementation, and process customization.
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage project templates, custom fields, scripts, permissions, and dashboards.
- Experience integrating Polarion with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, Doors, Teamcenter, or other ALM/PLM systems.
- Proven track record in delivering ALM solutions within safety-critical or regulated environments.
Domain Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and V-model methodologies for requirements engineering, validation, change management, and release planning.
- Experience working in the automotive and/or battery system development sectors is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with safety and quality standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO 21434.
Agile & Communication Skills:
- Proven experience in SAFe-based agile teams, including participation in PI planning, Scrum of Scrums, and cross-team coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to train, support, and mentor international, cross-functional teams.
- Experience creating training materials, leading user workshops, and managing change across distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Polarion Solution Architect or equivalent.
- Knowledge of battery systems, e-mobility, or autonomous vehicle development life cycles.
- Experience with scripting in JavaScript, Velocity, or Python for Polarion automation.
