Role Summary

Lead and/or facilitate Scrum and/or other Agile practices, ensuring Squad alignment to process efficiency and continuous improvement processes are being implemented, leveraging metrics/reporting and tooling (Jira) according to the methodology.

Sponsor a culture that promotes transparency, inspection, and adaptation, fostering self-organization and growth within Squads and Domains.

• Increase overall Agile maturity.

• Nurture adherence to Agile practices and principles.

• Elevate Squad performance.

• Teach, mentor, role-model, and improve Agile across the organization.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside of the Squad and Domains.

• Encourage the Squads to drive to results by routinely assessing achievement against OKRs and KPIs.

• Evolve mindsets and behaviors.

• Coach Squads and organizations on how to build a trusting and safe environment.

• Build, and lead by example, a culture that promotes transparency, inspection, and adaptation.

• Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace, and enables conflict resolution.

• Effective communicator including listening to understand, and using the appropriate communication channels to achieve business results.

Education & Knowledge:

• Understanding of business, software, or operations.

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, Agile Scrum Master, PSM).

• Successfully delivered projects using Scrum Methodology.

• Oversee Delivery Execution (2-3 Squads).

• Clarity setup, Jira onboarding, risk mitigation/issue mgt, resource onboarding/transition planning.

• Sprint Planning, Refinement Retrospectives and Daily Stand-ups.

• Use data to assess and manage Squads adherence to KPIs.

• Align squad sprint execution to the release schedule.

• Financial, resource and SOW tracking including reviewing financial spend reports (Clarity).

• Program Manager to raise and remove impediments quickly.

Technical Competencies:

• Understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with specific Scrum Master (or similar) experience preferred.

• Knowledge of Agile software development process (. XP, Kanban, Scrum, etc.).

• Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing.

• Leadership skills including integrity, effective communicator, motivation, responsibility and time management.
