Job Summary

A key member of our team will contribute to the development and implementation of engineering strategies to mitigate PCBA risks. They will work closely with global sites to ensure that change management within this portfolio achieves maturity.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will take ownership of design de-risking for PCBA, addressing potential issues related to aging designs or supply chain challenges. They will also drive technical delivery of all electrical and electronics projects.

Responsibilities

  • Drive PCBA Risk Mitigation Strategy: Develop and execute plans to minimize PCBA risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Delivery: Oversee the technical aspects of electrical and electronics projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Design and Conceptualization: Design and conceptualize electronic components to meet product fitment specifications.
  • Project Ownership: Own and implement technically sophisticated projects from scoping to implementation.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Support: Ensure good knowledge of compliance requirements and provide support for product regulatory compliance testing.
  • Component Synthesis: Synthesize specifications of electronic components into product fitment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and participate in system and subsystem design reviews.
  • Schematic Design: Design schematic of digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics circuit boards to satisfy design requirements.
  • Agility and Multitasking: Demonstrate agility in working on multiple simultaneous projects, tasks, and programs to suit business needs.
  • Design Options and Tradeoff Analysis: Provide plan A and plan B options, driving design options and trade-off analysis to meet diverse product requirements.
  • Design Documents and Verification: Build design documents for design review, HLD, DFMEA, requirements traceability matrix, and verification plan mapping to key performance, reliability requirements.
  • Design Performance Qualification: Verify design performance qualifying requirements, meeting manufacturability and serviceability goals, and achieving cost-reliability targets.
  • Collaboration and Compliance: Collaborate closely with multi-domain teams to assist product development, meeting regulatory, safety, environmental, reliability, thermal, and interface standards, as well as Ethernet and USB compliance requirements.
  • Manufacturing Coordination: Work with the sourcing team and suppliers to coordinate manufacturing and provide detailed requirements for FCT of PCBA to ensure production line output meets design requirements.
